Ok, as our numbers grow, and our raiding progesses, we need to have some guidelines/rules to ensure effective and successful raids. This is going to be "stickied" and updated, so please check back often. Mods The minimun current mods required to raids are: 1. Omen2 threat meter. 2. Deady Boss Mods (DBM) 3. GroupCalendar 4. Ventrilo (be able to listen minimum) These can all be found at www.curse.com, and will need to be updated frequently. Please be familiar with them, have them installed and working prior to the start of the raid. Don't expect to go on the raid if you havn't bothered to update and configure these mods. By not taking the time to do so, you jeopardize the success of the whole raid. Spec. We do not mandate a spec. for players, its thier toon, they're free to spec as they see fit, but if the raid leaders feel that your spec is hindering the chance of success of the raid, don't be surprised if you are passed up for someone who has "raid speced". In particular, this applies to hunters and rogues, but most classes have a "raid spec", take the time to find out what yours is, and by speccing raid, you will help ensure successful raiding. Gear Level Raiding requires a certain level of gear/dps/performance. Players are expected to make sure they're up to the challenge. This means taking the time to run heroics, pvp, craft items etc. Preference will be given to players who demonstrate thier comittment to the success of the guild by taking the time to farm/aquire the gear that is required for sucsess. Reseach what gear is avalable for your toon and where, and get to work on aquiring it. It is not acceptable to just sit around waiting to be run through content that is above your gear level and just be handed epics. were happy to help, and this guild has a wealth of knowlegable/helpful players, do your part by showing some initiative. Also, if the raid leader decides that they need to pass you over for someone else, because they feel your gear/experince isn't up to the task, don't be surprised/upset. When it comes to new content, what matters most success of the raid, once we get it on "farm" we will open it up to lesser geared players, to allow them to get experience and gear to help thier progress. Be Prepared. Be on 10 mins before the start of the raid, be repaired, stocked up on consumables, reagents, potions, elixers, food etc. Also, raiding is expensive, be prepared to spend time doing dailies etc. to fund it.
to be continued.
A history of violence.
